The Night of Science: Beneath the surface
Much of the work done in museums hides beneath the surface and can be easily overlooked. On the Night of Science, the public will be able to take a deeper look into the collections, research and behind-the-scenes work of the Helsinki City Museum.
You will hear how the City Museum’s collections are grown and see examples of recent acquisitions of images and objects. The event will start with a dive into the history of the asbestos factory of Suomen Mineraali Oy, and finish off with information about the colourful history of the Sederholm House.
The event is mainly in Finnish, the last presentation is in Swedish. Free entrance – we hope to see you there!
