Aleksanterinkatu 16
Welcome to a story hour in the Children’s Town to celebrate Finland’s national poet!
On Runeberg Day, Thursday the 5th of February, you can hear the story of Johan Ludvig Runeberg and his poems in a child-friendly way through the popular book Koiramäen Martta ja Ruuneperi by Mauri Kunnas. Museum staff will be reading the book in Finnish at 4 pm and in Swedish at 5 pm on the ground floor of the Sederholm House.
Take a breather in the Children’s Town and learn in whose memory the Finnish flag is flown today and Runeberg tarts are eaten! The book is best suited for around 5–7-year-olds, but people of all ages are warmly welcome to the event.
