Poetry Moon: Trash! poetry walk
This literary walking tour familiarises the visitors with the environmental history of the Töölönlahti area under the guidance of the poet and translator Pauli Tapio and museum curator Sauli Seppälä. The programme features excerpts from Tapio’s works and snapshots of the changes in the urban landscapes in different eras. The themes of the walking tour are linked to the City Museum’s summer exhibition, Trash! – What we leave behind, which shows how trash has been generated in Helsinki, where it has ended up and how it has impacted the environment.
The Finnish-speaking walking tour will start at the Villa Hakasalmi (Mannerheimintie 13b), no advance registration is required. The tour will take about 1.5 hours. The event is part of the Poetry Moon Literary Festival. Free entry – hope to see you there!
