Let’s exercise!
Come and join us for exercise at the Helsinki City Museum!
We will be using the museum lobby for various physical activities on four consecutive Tuesday afternoons throughout January. The theme of the exercise sessions changes weekly. You can come exercise for just a little while or for the entire hour. The exercise sessions are free of charge and suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

‘80s-themed fitness class
Led by physical education instructor and dance teacher Donata Pennanen.
Feel-good exercise to catchy music
Tuesday, 23 January, from 14:00 to 15:00
Swing into dance gymnastics
Led by sports instructor and dance teacher Riitta Ahlsten
The class includes trying out moves and brief gymnastics routines from different decades
Tuesday, 30 January, from 14:00 to 15:00
Bodyweight workout
Instructed by street workout professional and personal trainer Edgar Zindoga.
The class includes bodyweight workouts and body control exercises.
The event is part of the exhibition programme of the Your Body – The Sweaty History of Gyms exhibition. Events are held in cooperation with the Helsinki City Museum and the City of Helsinki’s Sports Services.
