Lecture: Ride on the garbage truck

Hop on and take a trip through the history of waste management! You will be in the safe hands of the former garbage man and current Helsinki guide Markku Jalonen, who worked for the Helsinki waste management services in 1963–1977 as both a garbage truck driver and a foreman. In this lecture (in Finnish), Jalonen will talk about the different stages of waste management from the 50s until the current day, reflecting on them through his personal experiences. The event is part of the Trash! – What we leave behind exhibition.
