Launching the Shadow light installation
Jaakko Niemelä’s Shadow will project the hustle and bustle of the streets of Helsinki on the wall of the museum’s courtyard. The installation will be presented to the public on the Night of the Arts.
The architecture of the new Helsinki City Museum, which opened in May 2016, will become even more layered as citizens of all ages will adorn its walls, each at their own characteristic pace. The light installation by Jaakko Niemelä will be presented to the public in the courtyard of Helsinki City Museum at Aleksanterinkatu 16 for the first time on the Night of the Arts, 25 August 2016 at 9 p.m.
