Kinky Ham Party
The City Museum’s lobby will be transformed into a sparkling drag cave when artists known from the Drag Me To HEL collective put up a Christmas party. Be prepared for queer grooves with a Christmassy and wintry twist. The first show at 6pm, aimed at children who have been good, has no age limit. The other show, for naughty people, at 8pm is for adult tastes. Starring Dee Vice, Fanny af Ticklehorn, Lauren Fuckall, Mildred Prude and Sinikka Puolukka Nagrigorijeva. The event is hosted by international artist personality Leila Halkeama, who is sure to get your bells jingling.
In the “steel tit” of the Helsexinki exhibition on the Museum’s fourth floor, an artist called Homepalli will perform at 6.30 and 7.30 p.m. Homepalli (Mouldy Balls) was born from the need to learn to deal with unnecessary shame and expand personal comfort zones. Under the most shameful name she could come up with, Meri Werkkomäki tells stories about issues associated with shame in some way. Along the way, humorous, serious and disgusting songs about various phenomena in human life have accumulated in the repertoire.
The 70’s bar in the museum takes the audience to a highly traditional Christmas activity: the Kinky Bingo, where you have the chance to win an authentic vegan ham. The bingo hostess is our star in Hollywood, Taabe Guggenheim-Kennedy.
During the evening, party guests will be entertained by DJ Fiona Timantti, who plays sweet nostalgic melodies from French chansons to electroswing. In her company, you can remember, forget, and above all, dance!
