City Museum awarded best gig workplace of the year
Personnel service company Seure has named the Helsinki City Museum the best gig workplace of 2024. Employee feedback praised the museum’s warm atmosphere, open communication, and equal treatment of all workers.
The Helsinki City Museum is a vibrant collective of five museums, offering a diverse range of gig opportunities – from guided tours and workshops to themed walks and customer service roles. Both Seure employees and the museum’s own staff agree that a positive work environment is the foundation of good work. Seure workers highlighted the excellent work atmosphere and the wonderful supervisors. “It’s a joy to do meaningful work and meet inspiring young people,” said one of the gig employees.
Team leaders Timo Kauppi and Anna Finnilä believe that high-quality leadership also plays a key role. “We are empathetic and fair, but also firm. At the museum, everyone is free to be themselves and feel part of the community. We believe that people thrive and succeed when they can be their authentic selves,” Finnilä summarizes.

Kati Garam, the service manager at the City Museum, and team leaders Timo Kauppi and Anna Finnilä are delighted with the recognition as the best workplace of the year.
