Aavistus Festival brings audiovisual media art Helsinki City Museum
Aavistus Festival is a biennial of audiovisual art and VJ culture. The fourth edition of the festival takes over Helsinki City Museum from 1 to 4 October. The programme features immersive, inspiring and colourful media artworks suitable for the whole family, as well as talks and free workshops.
What captures our attention in audiovisual art? In early October, the exhibition space on the museum’s fourth floor will showcase works by Finnish and international media artists exploring the relationship between noise, patterns, attention and presence. Children’s Town will feature media artworks for the whole family by Nils Qvis and Julia Sand.
You can also take part in Aavistus Festival’s free workshops, where audiovisual professionals and artists introduce participants to new digital tools and approaches in AV technology and live performance.
Admission to the exhibition and related events at Helsinki City Museum is free. Please note that some workshops may require advance registration.
