Empire – Kiven ja valon Helsinki
The Helsinki City Museum and Parvs Publishing Company will release a new book called Empire – Kiven ja valon Helsinki at Helsinki Book Fair. The book presents Helsinki’s Empire heritage from the perspectives of architecture and the urban environment. The book’s authors, architect Mikko Lindqvist and photographer Yehia Eweis, will be present to discuss the book. The discussion will be facilitated by head of research Minna Sarantola-Weiss. Admission to the event is free, and you can also watch the live broadcast on the Helsinki City Museum’s YouTube channel. Discussions are in Finnish.
The book, as well as the 2026 calendar and the cardboard model kit of Senate Square inspired by it, are available for purchase at the museum shop – perfect as a Father’s Day gift!
